Danny Clay Fanfare for the 40th Season No. 4 George Gershwin Concerto in F Jacob Miller - Piano Frank Lee Ruggles Chasing Light, the film (World Premier) Jennifer Jolley Olympic Park, to accompany Chasing Light (World Premier) Lauren Spavelko Untitled, Music for Chasing Light (World Premier) Anton Dvorak Symphony No. 9 (From the New World) Local Focus presented by PNC Arts Alive features artists with Delaware connections and a weeklong series of community engagement projects by the artists. Pianist Jacob Miller will make his debut with us, his hometown orchestra, in Gershwin’s popular Concerto in F. Delaware native Frank Ruggles served for years as an official photographer of the National Park Service, the same post Ansel Adams held. Frank’s film of his stunning imagery of America’s Nationals Parks will be shown at the concert, accompanied by music composed by Dr. Jennifer Jolley and Lauren Spavelko, each with ties to Ohio Wesleyan University. Experience America as few have been able to! The season closes with Dvorak’s New World Symphony, one of the most popular symphonies performed the world over. Our 40th Season finale will be a once in a lifetime concert you will not forget! |
