Central Ohio audiences have come to know the Central Ohio Symphony for Excellence, Inspiration and Vision.
This past season brought increased attendance including a SOLD OUT performance of the March Concert.

The Central Ohio Symphony's 29th season will be the most exciting series yet with outstanding guest artists
and the symphony's wonderful musicians.
| Jaime Morales-Matos, conductor, serves as the trombone faculty at Miami
University in Oxford, Ohio. As a trombonist he has performed with the
Cincinnati Symphony, Casals Festival Orchestra, Dayton Philharmonic,
Lexington (KY) Philharmonic and the New World Symphony (FL). As a
conductor, Mr. Morales-Matos has conducted in the U.S., Germany, Austria, Spain,
Ecuador, Bulgaria, and his native Puerto Rico. From 2000 to 2002, he was
Music Director of the Miami University of Ohio Symphony Orchestra. From
1996 to 1999 he was cover conductor with the Dayton Philharmonic under Music
Director Neil Gittleman.

The Season Debut Concert in October will
feature Dvorak's Cello Concerto with Ohio trained cellist Jesus Morales-Matos and Tchaikovsky's wonderful Symphony No. 5 in E Minor.
The Holiday concerts will feature many holiday favorites and a performance by the Young Strings.
The March Concert will feature George Gershwin's Cuban Overture and Concerto in F with returning guest
artist Heather MacPhail and Leonard Bernstein's Candide Overture and the Symphonic Dances from West Side Story!
The May Concert
will feature our largest orchestra ever assembled for Mahler's Symphony No. 1. Also on the program
are Brahms Four Serious Songs with Ben Smolder as soloist and Mahler's Songs of the Wayfarer with returning artist Ellen Graham as soloist.
The Central Ohio Symphony performs in historic Gray Chapel on the Ohio Wesleyan University campus in Delaware. One of the
region's most acclaimed concert halls, this unique auditorium was built in the 1890's and offers a perfect setting for the
Symphony's subscription series. The hall's superb acoustics and visual beauty make for a concert experience unmatched in Central Ohio.
