The Holiday Concerts will be filled with holiday spirit! The Capriccio! choir joins us this season along with the annual performance by the Symphony’s Young Strings. Make this concert part of your Holiday celebration this season.
The March Concert will be a lush trip abroad. Featuring two works by Sibelius, the ever-popular Finlandia and Violin Concerto in D Minor. Oberlin-trained violinist Amy Oshiro, currently with the Philadelphia Orchestra, will perform. Rounding out the trip will be Elgar's Enigma Variations and a chance to hear the Gray Chapel Organ.
The May Concert will feature Robert Gruca in Roberto Sierra's Floras, Concerto for Guitar. Joseph Schwantner's Chasing Light, part of the Ford Made in America program, will highlight this American composer. Rounding out the concert is Beethoven's Third, the Eroica.
