The season opens with Ohio Wesleyan professor Jason Bahr's
Ad astra per aspera and the return of Jesus Morales-Matos as cello soloist for the Saint-Saens concerto. The program concludes with Prokofiev's dramatic 5th Symphony, characterized by the composer as "glorifying the human spirit.".

Carl Orff Carmina Burana
John Williams Harry Potter Suite

The 120 voices of the Capriccio! Choir, OWU Choral Arts Society and guest soloists will fill the stage for one of the most popular works of the 20th century: Carl Orff's fabulous Carmina Burana. Also on the program is John Williams' Harry Potter Suite, recently voted "favorite piece of classical music" by young adults.

The April concert will feature Ohio composer Deborah Netanal's Sounds of an Ancient City based on her impressions of Jerusalem, Beethoven's monumental Emperor piano concerto with Ohio guest artist Judit Bach, and the magical and picturesque Scheherazade.
Central Ohio Symphony, the Young Strings and Capriccio!
